THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands High School Art Trust (TWHSAT) of The Woodlands, Texas, is pleased to announce that the application form is now open for collection entry for 2021. TWHSAT is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that supports Student Art Trust Committee. The student committee oversees the application process for work by Texas juror artists, to be added to the professional art collection selected and purchased by students.
The student committee will reduce the submissions to 12 pieces which will be voted on by the entire student body of approximately 4,400 students. The top picks will be purchased and added to the Woodlands High School Art Collection.
The deadline to apply is October 10, 2021 and artists are encouraged to submit works that they are willing to sell.
- Works of art are limited to drawings, paintings, mixed media, prints, photographs and digital media
- The works of art must be able to be hung with suitable materials
- Artist must be a current resident of Texas, a sworn artist, and 22 years of age or older
To apply, fill out the form HERE. No physical work will be reviewed, and only one online submission is allowed per artist. The artwork will be voted on and purchased by the student body at Woodlands High School. All Texas juror artists aged 22 or older are eligible to apply.
The Woodlands High School Art Trust (TWHSAT), a 501 (c) 3 organization, was established in 2011 to help maintain, conserve and display the collection of established artists selected and purchased by students at Woodlands High School. The vision of the TWHS Art Trust is to see the art collection grow each year and spread it throughout the halls of the high school. Students use their prom funds to purchase the artwork.
