Celebrate Mardi Gras at the RW Norton Art Gallery.
On Friday January 14, meet at the gallery for the opening of their new exhibition from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The new exhibition Carnival: Mardi Gras yesterday and today explore the Mardi Gras traditions of different parts of Louisiana. Guest curated by local artist, Emily Welch, will showcase the unique parades, costumes, music, dance and cuisine that can be found in every New Orleans community in Shreveport.

All of the guest curator’s exhibitions are created from public domain reproductions. These open access images have been made public by the artist’s estate and the museums that hold the originals for others around the world to enjoy.
The RW Norton is located at 4747 Creswell Ave. at Shreveport. This is a free event open to the public.
